Synopsis: Quantum science and technology are in the limelight. Efforts range from quantum computing and simulations to sensing. All quantum platforms are susceptible to interaction with the environment. Addressing this interaction using the discipline of open quantum systems is therefore a central paradigm. Scientific activity quantum science is proliferating all over the world. The global pandemic has halted much of the international collaboration. To bootstrap our efforts in Israel we organized this meeting on a very short notice. We are happy to have representatives from many research groups and institutions. We chose the subject of open quantum systems as a focal point to merge experimental and theoretical groups. Our aim is to get reacquainted on a personal level with emphasis on informal discussions.
