On September 2-6, 2007 a five-day summer school on
Density functional theory: formalism, implementation, and novel applications
will be held.
Organizers: Leeor Kronik, Roi Baer, Eran Rabani
The school will be held at the Ruth-Rimonim Hotel in the northern Israeli town of Zefat (Safed).
The school's aim is to provide a set of comprehensive tutorial overviews on the state-of-the-art in density functional theory. It will cover a broad range of subjects, including formal foundations, numerical issues, and applications to a broad range of current problems in chemistry, physics, and materials science.
There is no registration fee. Room and board for a reduced fee of $200 will be offered to the first 50 students/post-docs to enroll. Please register early to secure room and board.
We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the following:
- The Safed Foundation
- The Weizmann Institute's Gerhard M.J. Schmidt Minerva Center for Supramolecular Architecture
- The Hebrew University's Fritz Haber Center for Molecular Dynamics
- Tel Aviv University's Center of Nano-science and Nano-technology, the Faculty of Exact Sciences, the School of Chemistry, and the Department of Chemical Physics
